Mission Statement:
To
carry out the proclamation of St. John's to make Christ known to others within
and outside the parish. Evangelism is carried out through various programs and
ministries designed to introduce others to a relationship with Christ and with
our parish family.
This mission is accomplished in
many ways at St. John's, with a sensitive, caring approach.
Alpha
For those wishing to deepen their
understanding of the Christian faith, or for those questioning its very
existence, St. John's offers the Alpha Course. This course is praised highly
among past participants, and is recommended to all, regardless of their level of
understanding. Participants need not be members of the St. John's parish, as the
course is open to individuals of all denomination.

Cursillo
Cursillo is a movement of the
church designed to support those who want to live a Christian life, and to
deepen their understanding of God's calling. Its primary purpose is to help
those in the church understand their individual callings to be Christian
Leaders. Cursillo is patterned on Jesus' own example. He searched out and called
a small group of potential leaders; He trained them by word and example and
inspired them with a vision; and He linked them together and sent them out into
the world to bring the world to Him. Read more
